Yaslah, Al Ahly’s assistant coach, has hit out at the refereeing in Saturday’s controversial clash, claiming that the match was “stolen” from his side and that the officiating team effectively told the players to forget about challenging for the league ti

Al-Ahli Jeddah’s German manager, Matthias Jaissle, delivered a scathing post-match assessment after his side could only manage a 1–1 draw with Al-Fayha on Wednesday evening, Matchday 29 of the Roshen League.
The contest was marred by controversy after the referee refused to award Al-Ahli two penalties, the last of which came just seconds before the final whistle, sparking the anger of Jaissle and his players.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, the German coach said: “It is hard to accept what happened today, especially after the fourth official spoke to our players, telling them to focus on the Asian Championship and forget the league. That remark provoked anger inside the team.”

“We will need time to accept this result and the unusual circumstances of the match, especially after the referee refused to award two clear penalties in our favour just before the final whistle,” he added.
The German coach concluded by saying: “Today we felt that the match robbed us of some of our rights. We are working hard to achieve success and win titles, but decisions like these make our task on the pitch even more difficult.”
