Tragedy in Portugal: Quevin Castro has died, the Portuguese footballer who played for Real Sc (fourth division), during a friendly against Estrela da Amadora at the Estadio das Seixas in Malveira. He was 25. The incident happened after just 10 minutes, when the midfielder suddenly collapsed to the ground. Doctors from both clubs rushed to treat him and used a defibrillator, but attempts to resuscitate him were in vain. Castro was pronounced dead in hospital
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion, Castro's former club in England, said they were "devastated" by the news of his "untimely passing" and announced they will pay tribute to him with an applause in the 25th minute of tomorrow's match against Burnley. The players will also wear black armbands.
