A sudden upheaval "in the Mbappe camp": Real Madrid star parts ways with his lawyer after victory over Paris | Goal.com

Kylian Mbappe has fallen out with the very lawyers who won him his case against Paris Saint-Germain, according to a French press report published on Wednesday.
A Paris court ruled in December 2025 that the Real Madrid forward's former club owed him 61 million euros in unpaid wages and bonuses after months of proceedings. That figure broke down into 55 million euros plus a further 5.9 million euros covering accrued holiday entitlement and interest.
Delphine Verheyden, Mbappe's lawyer of long standing, had assembled a formidable team for the fight: Pierre-Olivier Sur on criminal matters, Thomas Clay on civil matters and Frederic Casserot on employment law, all in preparation for the hearing before the employment tribunal.
Each one sits among the elite of his field, and the fees reflect it. Hundreds of euros per hour, though even that was considered relatively modest against the usual rates.

The trio struck an agreement with Fayza Lamari, Mbappe's mother, allowing them to collect conditional fees should PSG be found liable for anything above the 55 million euros the player had claimed.
Lamari never signed that agreement, according to the newspaper "L'Equipe", and she was later accused of breaching her verbal commitments.
Mbappe's own lawyers, in other words, hit their client with the same charge PSG had thrown at him: his mother's stance.
Clay, Casserot and Sur took their complaint to the bar association, claiming 6.2 million euros on the basis of the agreement put to Fayza Lamari. She thought the figure excessive.
Both parties eventually settled amicably, agreeing on a payment of around 1.5 million euros on top of the fees.
Sources close to Mbappe rejected the suggestion that the Real Madrid player had tried to dodge his obligations, insisting he had simply been cautious and refused to become "a source of quick profit".
"L'Equipe" also confirmed the fallout cost Verheyden her biggest client. Fayza Lamari and Ziad Hammoud, chief executive of the footballer's business empire, ended their collaboration with the lawyer who had represented Mbappe for a decade.
